Design Technology
Design Technology gives young people the opportunity to develop skills, creativity, problem solving and communicate their ideas. We feel it is vital to nurture innovation and creativity and give every young person the opportunity to learn the safe use of a range of tools and equipment to perform practical tasks.
At Prime8 we teach a number of projects which allow students to explore the designed and made world which we all live and work in today. We give each student the opportunity to engage in the design process using a range of software applications to develop their ideas, this includes graphic design, three dimensional and CAD/CAM.
Our projects include a practical element in which students are taught the safe use of a range of hand and electrical tools which they use to produce a range of items within the projects throughout the academic year.
Prime8 Education is not the sole educational provider for the young people who attend our setting.
