Lesson length is carefully planned to maximise productivity and there is flexibility around timings to meet the needs of all learners. There is a break between lessons when students can have a drink and socialise with staff and peers. Lunch is taken in the dining rooms and all learners and staff sit around the table to enjoy a ‘family meal’.
Mealtime at Prime8
Breakfast and Lunch is a social time at Prime8 when staff and students eat together.
At lunch we aim to provide a varied menu based around our young people’s preferences which are shared through regular discussions.
Healthy options are discussed as part of our PSHE programme and incorporated into meals.
Those on Free School Meals have a daily allowance.
Packed lunches are also an option for those preferring to bring their own food.
We also prepare meals at the Forest Base and cook on an open fire!
Quesadillas and Smores are always popular!
